New Sihanoukville Roads Tried and Approved by Local Cattle
Cambodia News, (Sihanoukville): Otres residents have sent photos to the press to warn the public that at night there are many cows sleeping on Senjay road in front of Otres pagoda. The local cattle herds have shown their appreciation of the newly built Sihanoukville roads, and they have taken to spending their nights sleeping on this road near Otres, so the public should be aware of this in order to avoid accidents after dark.
Meanwhile, the Sihanoukville authorities have recently advised the cattle owners to properly manage their domestic animals, and not let them roam the streets without surveillance, because they are a danger to other road users.

That is a great photo... For those of you unfamiliar with the new concrete sarcophagus that Sihanoukville has become, the roads are big and smooth and swallow up more green than ever... The roads have destroyed Otres beach -- utterly swallowing up the sand and leaving a really narrow beach buffer that will soon become a seawall as the waves pound higher, and the river and sea sand of Cambodia continues to be depleted -- dredged for construction, sorry to say...
