Koh Rong, Cambodia: Many tourists (backpacker) are leaving Koh Rong when polices went to strengthen the security on the Island Sihanoukville: On 10 April 2015, many tourists (backpackers) are leaving Koh Rong when there were many polices went to the Island to strengthen the security on it. Many of tourists were gathering and waiting for the ferry at a pier in Koh Touch village, Koh Rong district, Sihanoukville.

Source from the ferry operators, since many polices arrived on the Island to strengthen the security on the Island, many tourists left the Island. As they didn't want to stay in a crowed place. They wanted to relax at a very quite place. Recently almost all tourists left the Island. Source from the vendors and guest house owners, There were a lot of foreigners came to visit koh Rong, however the number of tourist declined after the polices came to the Island and told all the bar owners not to play music loud late night after 12:00 am. Therefore, many tourists who came to enjoy themselves on the Island left back to the mainland.

The villagers on the Island requested the chief officer to help facilitate with this by withdraw all the polices back and only remain the local authority to do the job. When the tourists left the Island it completely affected their business and livelihood.

obviously they are criminally inclined themselves, or they would just enjoy the free security.

i think they should all be pee tested before being allowed to leave koh wrong.

I agreed. when I was there i actually got a feeling that Kong Rong is a paradise of weed smoker and drug addict backpackers. At that time, i didn't know the word weed. A guy told me that he couldn't live without weed. I thought he was talking about wheat and i told to try eating rice. He was launching and I didn't get it until i learned the word weed.

So, watch out Otres Beach, it's party time, here they come?

Maybe Koh Wrong will become Koh Rite now that the forces of good have arrived.

Perhaps there will be a fire or something which will destroy all the backpacker places and out of the ashes will arise a 5* resort with golf courses, swimming pools and a helipad ? Who knows, stranger things have happened.

It seems Koh Rong is not a quiet and nice place? I have never been there.

I suspect it has a lot to do with Survivor.
