Vax cards

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Vax cards

Post by lagrange »

This is the future. The UAE has already done it. Most countries will soon do the same. If you dont have the card, you cant enter any public building, cafe, bar or hotel. Ever read The Book Of Revelations? Marked similarities.

Do you think every public building, café, restaurant and bar in the world is going to check every person entering the establishment to make sure they have their card for the rest of time? Might happen for awhile and then it'll settle down.

"Ever read The Book Of Revelations?"
No, I'm sane. It would be easier to understand the Matrix III being described to me, without seeing the movies.
I almost did, but decided instead, as a preference, to take a 5-hour bus ride and 10-hour flight, sitting next to a local eating soup and peanut butter, non-stop, then hike up a mountain, in knee-deep snow, naked, while listening to re-runs of the Kardashians.
I would not, however, discount the possibility of a trickster, ahead of his time, whom used planted stooges to facilitate illusions (modern day magicians have replicated the walk on water et al), even to the point where said charlatan met a similar fate to the Salem Witches (none of whom were burnt at the stake, incidentally).

Will be quite handy to have an official Cambodian photo ID card, I think. My Australian drivers licence had expired and I don't like carrying my passport around.

I think it will happen eventually, pretty much everywhere.People who have not bothered to be vaccinated, or refuse on grounds that its a worldwide conspiracy, will become outlawed in society. Governments will use it as a means of control. The next step will be microchip implants in the hand, which can be scanned, and which will contain all personal details. Like now - to get into most supermarkets you have to get a temperature check. The scanners at the door say in a loud voice 'Temperature normal'. No check, no entry.

Relax. Loads of places in Phnom Penh have an unused temperature checkpoint in front now now. When was the last time you scanned a QR code to be traceable for covid?
The same will happen to the vax cards. People can only be anxious for that long. Then they will return to normal. That's how our 'reptile brain' has been hardwired.

In a year or so most people will either have antibodies because vaccination or infection or the virus has evolved in such a way the current vaccinations will turn out to be ineffective.

Revelations 17 wrote:[3] So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
[4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
[5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
[6] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
[7] Also if someone wants to make sure that you're not going to cough a load of coronavirus into their restaurant it means the world's about to end
