Home covid testing kit
Guys my friend doesn't want to risk going to a center and getting locked up. Is there a kit sue can use at home so she can just self quarantine if positive??
Re: Home covid testing kit
No. Only approved government facilities can facilitate any type of COVID test, for that exact reason.

Re: Home covid testing kit
My friend has one but it was shipped from the UK. So nothing available here?
Re: Home covid testing kit
Home testing kits are not approved by the MoH for private sale/use. Only MoH authorised clinics are permitted to conduct testing.
Re: Home covid testing kit
Now approved and available from select pharmacies

Re: Home covid testing kit
In the early days they discounted anyone that didn’t present with a fever. What percentage of Covid positive and sick have lost the sense of taste and smell?

Some info here:Freightdog wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:53 amIn the early days they discounted anyone that didn’t present with a fever. What percentage of Covid positive and sick have lost the sense of taste and smell?
Loss of Smell Associated with Milder COVID-19 Cases
About 86 percent of people who have COVID-19 lose some or all of their ability to smell.
But the majority who lost their sense of smell experienced a mild form of the disease, according to new research

Research paper here:
Prevalence and 6-month recovery of olfactory dysfunction: a multicentre study of 1363 COVID-19 patients
Objective
To investigate prevalence and recovery of olfactory dysfunction (OD) in COVID-19 patients according to the disease severity.
Results
The prevalence of OD was significantly higher in mild form (85.9%) compared with moderate-to-critical forms (4.5–6.9%; P = 0.001).....................................
