Andy, I PM'd you. Lead a horse... No more newbies for now. With no knowledge of how long the vaccine lasts, the earlier injectees could be due again soon. There is definitely a global shortage.
Sorry, I have not received any PM.
I have just been told about some one who has vaccines (AstraZeneca) but at a cost. Too late now will see about it tomorrow.
The Ministry of Health put out a release last night, denying that paid AZ shots were available at clinics and said they reject any such rumours.
How long have you been here Timmy, and you still believe what is written. And not what is available at a cost.
Just mentioned it because it came up on FB. If it exists, where would it come from? They only got 324k doses from COVAX and there hasn't been another shipment since.
Also it was said that if there is any out there, they would be out of date.
Anyhow I had a phone call from the nice receptionist who went to the trouble of registering me, telling me to come to the same hospital in the morning for my vaccine.

I just read this yesterday:
https://www.phnompenhpost.com/national/ ... last-shots
Saying, that everyone who did not get it yet shall do so until July 8.

I went yesterday straight to my district vacc site and was told that they have finished the administration of shots already. Downer.
Today, I went to the Ministry of Work and Vocational Labour (since i have Work Permit and Working VIsa) and was told the same.

Now, I wonder - since there is that public call: Where can I get a shot in PP now? Is it maybe now in a centralized location for PP?

I can't hardly believe that there is a shortage until 8th with all the new vaccine orders rolling in, as possibly suggested here:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE for anyone who is in the same situation:
After returning from the Ministry of Work and Vocational Labour, I went then to my Sangkat Office, where I was told what I already knew, that the vacc site for the district is closed. They sent me to the nearest alternate vacc site. When I asked, if there is any paper necessary from Sangkat, I was told it is not.

On arrival, I was informed that it is not possible here and was sent to another vaccination site (Phnom Penh Referral Hospital). There I was asked for my passport and (ironically) work permit (which I was asked for on the spot - and could present). After mentioning what other documents they might need and if the vaccination weren't open for anyone, I was told that'll do and that I can get the vaccination in the morning (by presenting these documents).
Of course, when I showed up in the morning this was no longer sufficient, I would need to present the letter from my Sangkat (valid also, if the document comes from a district outside where the hospital is located - I asked that specifically and made a pic from such a letter).

Surely, I went back to my Sangkat. After half a day, I was able to speak to the Head of the Sangkat Office. I must mention, that this person has always been nice and helpful with all previous things I had to do there, such as the registration when I moved in that Sangkat, residency letter and even giving me directions when I first drove there to look at the house. It happened so, that I stopped close from Sangkat and unaware that it was him at that time. Anyway, this time, he had to give me bad news, that he CAN'T provide me with that letter, even so it is simply used for vaccination at another site and basically states that I am living there and qualify (if that is indeed truly necessary in order to receive a vaccine). He said sorry, turned around and walked in his office. I couldn't even ask a follow up question, for any advice or possibly other means of referral or help.
Having read the Notice 43/21 posted here, this happened to be in a Sangkat for the District Khan Mancheay, which lists 0 people left to be vaccinated. It might be this, a true shortage of vaccinations or partly my inability/delay in getting the jab at the very first possibility. However, it is even still June and I am following a notice/news, that ANYONE who did not get jabs shall do so.

At last, I could manage to get on a "list" for vaccination at one of the sites by registering with my passport AND ONLY with help from Khmer persons.
I got the info that they will call me up before the 8th of July for vaccination, which I was told counts as "registered and eligible". It needs to be seen, if this is truly the case. After what I have experienced by now, I would not be surprised, if this is subject to change or the call might never come. Because they did not offer me the jab right away or a fixed vaccination date.
Anyone in the same situation, take a Khmer friend with you!

Has anyone an advice what else I could do right now? Simply waiting for the call feels like playing a lottery at the moment.

hard time getting the first
Now they want give a 3rd>>>>
The government is considering applying a third dose of vaccines against the novel coronavirus as it draws up a game plan to accelerate the national vaccination campaign, enable a more substantial reopening and spur a quick recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a senior official.

Ministry of Economy and Finance permanent secretary of state Vongsey Vissoth noted that the Kingdom would have 20 million doses of vaccines by August if all orders arrive on schedule.

“We’ll soon hold a meeting to review the feasibility of the vaccination plan. We’ll ponder over whether children under the age of 18 should be vaccinated and look into another possibility that is being studied – the third dose.

“This is the government’s plan – one step ahead,” Vissoth said without elaborating.

As of June 26, Cambodia has received more than 10 million doses of shots, through purchases and donations from China and allocations from the Covax Facility.
10 million doses for 16 million people thru 26th + another 10 million coming >>>>> :beer3: you do the math....
30% under 18??

Sunday I went by the last notification for people who had not had the vaccinations, I did not turn up in the early morning, I didn't fancy que-fighting. When I did get there the receptionist, whom had her table outside in the shade of the hospital grounds, just beyond the main entrance. I was told just the same what had put me in this position at the offset, "NO Barang". Sure, replied to her, she said wait, and went inside the building, soon returned and said "okay they will do". She took my details from my passport, also I handed her a slip of paper with my address written on, she asked for my phone number, but I had left it at home on charge, just a short time into when she started doing this I was joined to my left by a stocky policeman, and sure has she finished, she said we would call you next to make appointment for you to have vaccination, but we have no phone number for you. I am thinking today is the date 27th on the notice for the vaccinations here. I then asked her for her phone number and I would call or text her with my number, then they could contact me like she was suggesting. She jotted down her number and passed it too me, and sure I was escorted out of the gates by the policeman, just like I was at the Sangkat when I was Stubben to leave without information. Yes I thought I have been fobbed off once more. I text the young lady my number when I arrived home, she replied with a text saying thank you we will be in touch,
thinking of it I did not see many people there at the hospital. Tuesday evening I got a call from the lady "San" she said please come in the morning about 7.30am and she would meet me there. I arrived has planned and got in the que, no social distancing happening and a bit of crowding around the reception desk, after a time has I was keeping my distance there was a bit of disagreements with the group of people, about 8 of them with ID cards laid down on the desk and people with papers in their hands, the same policeman I had met previous, was now pushing this crowed away from the desk. Once I heard the people came from Pray Veng, I moved forward swiftly and placed my passport in the hand of the seated gentleman. He asked me for my invitation letter from the village chief, I just made a gesture with my hands because I didn't have. I told him, San phoned me and was supposed to meet me here, he said he did not know anyone called San. He said look there are many people, go home and we call you. So again off home I go. By the early afternoon no one had called, now I am thinking again its not going to happen, so I called "San", Andy I am so sorry about not meeting you this morning, can you make it here at 1.30. I will meet you, "okay" she said. I replied on my way now. San, was on the desk, once again I joined the short line of people before the desk. "Hi Andy" has I was closer now, she said "we wait for the boss". Please come and stand behind me here in the shade and wait. The boss turned out to be the village chief with my letter of invitation. That paper filled in by them I was given a number in Khmer, in fact everything apart from my name was wrote in Khmer. I was told to proceed down to the right find a seat and wait for my number called. I said I could not read my number, San smiled and wrote 134, "there is that better", yes I replied, but in reality it was not, because they were calling multi numbers at once in Khmer. but it was nice and cool sitting under the trees.

Image

San came down to the policemen at the next stage with a handful of papers, next one of the policemen shouted "Barrang what are you still sitting there for" I got up and joined the line with distancing, because there were painted blocks on the floor. The policeman took the paper I was holding, and San replaced it with another paper, "not long to go" she said. Next temperature check, and added jokes from the two guys, they even had the Khmers laughing around me on a lighted note, I suppose a little slapstick humor. Then it was thumb print, then card followed by a very quick pinprick with no "ouch", so all done, apart from a little sit down.
I will add too, it was all followed from start to finish in a very professional and caring manner.

I looked for San has I was leaving, but didn't see her. I called her when I arrived home, to ask about the second part of the vaccine, thinking to myself only just a week and a day left before the program ends, short-time for the next jab. But she replied you will come back to the same hospital and do the same again in two weeks time.

Well done. So on the 15th day after the first shot you can just rock up with your card and passport, and there should be no fuss to get the second shot.

timmy, there should have been no fuss from the outset. The PM had made it clear all foreigners were to have the vaccine free of charge and he asked the organisers to stick with the ongoing program. But in the suburbia the organisers had what plan they were about to do, and what they deemed correct for the purpose of vaccination, but clearly doing the opposite too what the PM had asked them not to do. And in the process this foreigner (Barrang) was not only left out but told he is not getting the vaccination from them, they are neighbours I have known for over two years, and until that time I was under some impression that after the leanth of time living in the community I may have been excepted there, how wrong I was to think such things.
But really I put it down more to mismanagement that they themselves had created by change. Also there are the ones that won't act by themselves, but wait for the instructions or guidelines to come from a higher source then themselves. But all now had been deviated from the first line of command and that of HE's instruction too them. It makes you wonder if that is why now only hospitals and staff are clearing up the reminders.
