American expat AARON DENNIS ADAIR goes postal in Kampot, Cambodia

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Associate of Arts - University Studies- Social Sciences... it all sounds pretty vague.

Is this the type of degree you get by paying your fees and showing up for three years? Multiple subjects with little to no advanced knowledge in anything and what you could of learnt by reading 20 or 30 books over that time while having a job?

When converting from Khmer to Latin script it's sometimes written as dtuk.

Written and spoken are often not the same, also I find regional variations with pronunciation.

Aaron Dennis Adair was charged with destruction of property and will be sent to court in Kampot. He also had a criminal charge of 'voiding human excretion' in Pennsylvania back in 2007, but the charges were dropped earlier last month.

Associate degree in the States should take two years. With this degree and major, he would qualify in most restaurants as a dishwasher.

Yet sadly, by Khmer standards, he's qualified to teach as much as anyone else in most schools, whose prerequisites are white skin, can speak English, and have a heartbeat. Even better if desperate.
