Cheap/dodgy - Monivong Boulevard (west of Central Market-ish)
Cheap/decent - Decathlon (they actually sell stuff cheaper than the Monivong crew, just most folks here are based riverside/bkk1 & can't be arsed to go all the way to Aeon2)

Wow they have Decathlon everywhere, tho I suppose a lot of the stuff is potentially made in Asia so I'm not sure why that shocked me, good shop.
Slow down little world, you're changing too fast.

Mix sand and cement in a container, place bamboo pole in the center and wait till set. Do same with other end. Total price under $5.

I always get my stuff at the stores in the block south of charles de gaulle on Monivong. This may be the cheap, dodgy stuff someone else was talking about but a walk from riverside there is actually fun and traveling almost anywhere in PP is not fun.

There is also a big "stationery" store further south on the same street; in fact it sells everything from Xmas decorations to games to toys to backpacks.

on the second floor, they have sports stuff that you can find nowhere else.

If you're interested in a set of 20-kg. dumbbells, pm me.

Decathlon doesn't have a lot of stuff in stock at the moment, weight wise. The small shops along Monivong are pretty good and cheap. If all you want at adjustable dumbbells or normal ones, I'd just go there vs a big hike to Decathlon (though decathlon also deliver for free).

If you are going to buy some dumbells from the Monivong shops, go for the hexagon shaped rubber coated ones. The stay put when put down, and won't crack your tiles when put down too hard.

Roughly $2 a kilo.
