Bad Attitude: Tattoo Girls Get Tut-Tuts on Social Media

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

No idea what it says but many Thai girls have a similar tat, is a buddist tat mostly done by monks
Buddhist monks don't tattoo women.

I assumed the above Tattoo was some tribal thing. Is anyone familiar w/ the Tattoo? What it says/represents

KFHB posted about it a couple of years ago here: general-chatter/sak-yant-tattoos-t30358.html

As mentioned, it called Sak Yant. First time I saw them I thought it was just a 'tiger scratch' tattoo, and didn't realize they were for protection, etc.

From the article KFHB posted: 'the Khmer Empire, with its Sak-Yant wearing warriors, went on to rule over Southeast Asia for more than 600 years — perhaps they were onto something. Designs are wide ranging, with each type offering different powers or effects, and all tattoos are tapped into the skin with a sharp bamboo stick and a needle. The five lines of Hah Taew is a popular design, with each line of the Khmer script providing a different effect such as protection from harm or bad luck to increasing attraction from the opposite sex. The tiger design provides strength, protection and authority, making it a popular choice among Muay Thai fighters.'

Total storm in a B cup

It's just ink in skin, and doesn't mean jack shit

Usual wannabe middle class faux outrage, akin to clucking of egg chickens

Some of them are "curses" to make boys fall in love with you

A khmer guy falling in love with you is definitely a curse

That's hilarious; I particularly like the girl pretending to be knocked out

How is she pretending? You can hear her head hit the pavement from 30m away.

No volume here; didn't look like one without it

Oh well, looked like she reaped what she sowed there - the other girl just ran into her after being jacket whipped

Looks like a knockout to me. She got punched and pushed back and fell right back on her head and never moved again. The other girl realised it right away and got straight off her.

Her friends didn't help by dropping her again.
