On May 25, Denny Kwan leaked the story of the owner of a hotel in Kampong Som, Gold Sea Hotel, who was stealing images from a camera in her bedroom and other rooms during her stay there in October 2020.

Ms. Denny Kwan confirmed that she could not bear to go public because she was waiting for a good solution with the hotel owner, but as a result, she was offered only ten thousand dollars in compensation.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Commissioner Chuon Narin told Kampuchea Thmey on the evening of May 25 that this case is an old case from October 2020 that the court has already decided, and those involved in embedding cameras in the hotel rooms are already serving a sentence in prison.

Yeah, this whole thing is stinky. And is the result of a weak legal system.

Usually there are criminal and civil courts. If a crime has been committed it should be reported and dealt with through the criminal courts. Then if you want to seek redress through the civil court system you can possibly win monetary damages for whatever harm you've incurred.

And finders of fact will listen to both sides and issue a decision.

Seems like she knew she had this guy over a barrel.

She put off filing criminal complaints or civil complaints because she thought the specter of that possibility might pressure the hotelier into coughing up a healthier payout.

She didn't want to have to share her money with lawyers.

She's a greedy, opportunistic, huckster.

If you've been so dishonored, file a criminal complaint. And stop couching this as a 'woe is me' when in reality you're trying to milk this guy outside of the proper legal channels.
