And there you have it...a sure election winner

Three out of four Australians want to keep international borders shut - even if the entire population is vaccinated against COVID-19, a new poll suggests

An astounding 73% of Australians are in favour of keeping the international border closed until at least mid-2022, even if vaccinations are offered to the entire eligible population.

Newspoll data reported by The Australian suggests the majority of Australians are content to keep the hardline border approach in play until the COVID-19 pandemic is contained worldwide.

The report comes as the university and tourism sectors struggle to supplement the hotel quarantine system to bolster the number of arrivals.

If everyone (who is willing) has been vaccinated, then what else are they waiting for? Most scientists agree that we will never be able to eradicate covid.

As a Canadian, I’ve always been a bit envious of Australians. It’s a very similar country to Canada in a lot of ways, with the advantage of far better weather. Now though, I could not be more glad that I’m not an Aussie.

bingo, its unfair for many us not being able live our lives how we want to just because others are content in spending 60% of there income on paying off a over priced mortgage, meaning they can't afford to travel...

that said this poll is from a right leaning news corp rag, so i doubt it is a balance poll
