It is hard to know exactly, but according to this message posted by the Sihanoukville authorities today, the city is lifting restrictions slowly, but there are still travel bans within the province until 27 May, and the main food markets are still closed. Someone living in Sihanoukville may be able to give you better information.

Cambodia News, (Sihanoukville): On the afternoon of May 14, 2021 in the yellow area, the Sihanoukville joint authorities have strengthened the ban on traffic from one area to another to cut off the transmission of Covid 19 virus.
In addition, the police force of the Intervention Force under the direct command of Major General Chuon Narin, the provincial police commissioner, are patrolling areas, such as the beach, to break up mass gatherings or drinking parties.
Please note that after the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration decided to restrict the yellow area and small red areas in Sihanoukville for another 14 days from May 14 to May 27, 2021, implemented according to actual Covid-19 observations in the area, leaving a red zone area is still limited to people with a permit to conduct essential business.

Main food markets such as Phsar Leu, Old market and Central Market remain closed, but small shophouses remain open for local people to shop for food.

More from Sihanoukville, where the lockdown is reported in the past tense by the PPP. Any reports from Sihanoukville residents would be welcome.

2,571 cases detected amid S'ville lockdown

The recent 21-day lockdown of Sihanoukvillle enabled the authorities to detect a total of 2,571 Covid-19 cases, with 155 having recovered during the period, according to Preah Sihanouk provincial governor Kuoch Chamroeun.

“Although we have yet to completely control the outbreak, the Covid-19 test positivity rate in high-risk areas has dropped from an initial 20 per cent to just one per cent as of May 13,” Chamroeun said while seeing off 155 troops who had been sent from Brigade 31 to help enforce lockdown in the province.

“This is a success of the measure. If we had not imposed the lockdown, the positivity rate would have been higher than 20 per cent,” he said.
