got my TYPE E VISA APPROVED

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. got my TYPE E VISA APPROVED

Post by BklynBoy »

If anyone has questions-- I just dealt w/ the Cambodian Embassy in Washington, DC and got it approved

The process went a lot smoother then expected. I first submitted something that wasn't sufficient regarding the employment offer letter and they called me. I resubmitted and was good to go. I sent out my passport along w/ documents and they called me to say they received it etc

He asked if i was vaccinated- which i am. I mentioned how was hoping can bypass or shorten quarantine because vaccinated. That isn't likely but it seems like they will do it in the future. Just the vibe I got from the call.

During the process of filing out the pre-screening form it mentions that even if vaccinated, at this point you still need to quarantine.

They definitely reviewed my paperwork more then last year but wasn't as difficult as I imagined.

Planning to leave NYC July 27th. I will take Eva or Singapore Airlines. Singapore used to have better flight options. At the moment Eva is shorter but a little more expensive. Will you still be there? W/ my quarantine i will be out like August 11th.. UGH..

I'll be long gone by then, hopefully, by mid June, I'll be all vaxxed up and preparing to leave the UK and head to Mexico.
