Great advertisement.
If dine-in not possible the 20th, simple event cancellation, no harm done.

Is it that good? Worthy of being that pricey?
Anyone eaten at the Sofitel?
For the cost of one person at this event, I’ve fed a group of hungry Khmer at BBQ 168 for less than that.
I seriously want to know.

I was at a few events like this in Sofitel (Jakarta, Bali), and it's totally worth it, also for the atmosphere and the people.
"Unique experience"for 60$,so why not once in a while ?
Plus, French cook in big French place abroad, rarely a bad choice ^^

Isnt this whats wrong with our world? "Mandarins's ladies ate rice by the ton, while peasants ate little and beggars ate none' (Roy Harper)

$60 is a lot compared to street food but it’s far from insane for 7 courses. Ima save up my trademark lefty righteous indignation for when I see the $300 menu.
Re: Dine in allowed again? Saw this from sofitel.
Given the Sofitel charges $230+ per night for their basic room, $60 for 7 courses sounds like a bargain.
I bet the booze prices will be outrageous.

Event has been deleted now in any case. Alcohol ban must be hurting so many in the F&B trade.
