Seems strange compared to the neighbours.
Today in Thailand.
Daily Covid-19 cases fell by more than a thousand to 17,775, the government said on Sunday, but new fatalities rose to 128, a record during the Omicron phase of the pandemic.
Sunday's figures compared with 18,892 new cases and 125 coronavirus-related fatalities announced on Saturday morning.

Quarantine Requirements Eased for Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated Travellers
AKP Phnom Penh, April 21, 2022 --
Cambodia has announced to ease quarantine requirements for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers entering the country.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Health AKP received this morning, the quarantine period will be shortened from 14 days to only 7 days.
For those coming by air, they must do a rapid test on the 7th day to end their quarantine, but the rapid test must be conducted twice – on the 1st day before entering the quarantine centre and on the 7th day to end the quarantine – for those arriving by land, the same source added.
The ministry also asked relevant competent authorities to continue the administration of 1st or 2nd dose for the Cambodian people and workers on the day they are allowed to leave the quarantine centre.
The new measure will come into force from April 21, 2022 onward, underlined the press release.

Meanwhile, in China, zero covid continues with the number of people in lockdown at an all-time high as cases soar.
I get that there's a war on, but I'm still surprised at how under-reported the situation in China is.

SINGAPORE: Singapore has reached “a major milestone” in the fight against COVID-19, with the country now able to “breathe easier”, said Health Minister Ong Ye Kung on Friday (Apr 22).
With COVID-19 infection rates stabilising, Mr Ong added that the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) level will be brought down from Orange to Yellow from Apr 26.
6. Pre-departure testing
All fully vaccinated travellers entering Singapore via air or sea checkpoints will no longer need to take a pre-departure test from Apr 26.
This new rule also applies to non-fully vaccinated children aged 12 and below.
“With this move, it will mean that fully vaccinated and well travellers will not require any tests to enter Singapore,” said MOH.
7. Easier travel between Malaysia and Singapore
Cross-border bus and taxi services between Singapore and Malaysia will resume from May 1, about two years after operations were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Travellers will be able to take Services 160, 170 and 170X operated by SBS Transit, Service 950 operated by SMRT Buses, and Services TS1, TS3, TS6 and TS8 operated by Transtar Travel.
Those looking to take a cab can board one at the Queen Street taxi terminal or book a ride through companies with licensed cross-border taxi drivers.

Cambodia to Receive Additional 20M Doses of COVID19 Vaccine, over 11M in Stock
Created: 25 April 2022
Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 25 – Cambodian prime minister HE affirmed that donations of additional 20 million doses of COVID19 vaccine will arrive in Cambodia subsequently, speaking at the handover ceremony of more than 1 million doses of COVID19 vaccine from Italy to Cambodia on Monday (25 Apr) at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh.
“An additional 20 million doses of COVID19 vaccine will continue to arrive as our friends promised to donate to the kingdom. Currently, we have more than 11 million doses in stock,” the premier underlined.
On that occasion, Samdech also called on his compatriots to get third dose of COVID19 vaccine as more than 6 million people have yet received the shot, adding that the low COVID19 confirmed cases were achieved due to strong herd immunity.
China is the biggest supplier of COVID19 vaccines to Cambodia, followed by Japan, US, UK, Australia, Poland, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Italy.
Cambodia has so far vaccinated nearly 93 percent of the total population. More than 8 million people have received third dose and more than 1.4 million received the fourth shot.

Mask-wearing exempted nationwide as daily infections hit record low
Prime Minister HE has lifted the government-instituted mask-wearing mandate, leaving it to people across the country to decide for themselves. Mask-wearing requirements, however, still apply to enclosed settings such as air-conditioned offices, meeting rooms or movie theatres.
The premier made the announcement, effectively immediately, in a special audio address to the nation on the morning of April 26.
“From the time you receive this audio message, you can decide for yourself whether to continue wearing mask in open space or not,” he said.
At public gardens or parks and tourist attractions or recreational areas, mask-wearing is also optional.
People in certain areas – such as crowded places or where there are suspected cases of Covid-19 – are "encouraged" but not required to wear mask.
HE reiterated his call for the pubic to get vaccinated against Covid-19, at least with a third dose which is now compulsory.
In the latest development, Cambodia recorded only two infections on April 25, according to the premier, the first time since the peak of the pandemic – a record expected to be announced by the Ministry of Health later on April 26.

Good luck getting the rules relaxed at places such as 24 hour banking where the guards sell you a mask if you don't have one.AndyKK wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 10:50 am Mask-wearing exempted nationwide as daily infections hit record low
