Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

You are confusing antigen test with antibody test. Antigen tests detect whether a person is currently infected, antibody tests can detect previous infection.

Cambodia to Use AstraZeneca Vaccine for COVID-19 Booster Shots, Starting with Healthcare Workers

PHNOM PENH--Cambodia will use the AstraZeneca vaccine to boost the immunity of people who have already been vaccinated for COVID-19 with either the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine, Prime Minister HE said on Aug. 1.

Speaking during a ceremony marking the launch of the vaccination campaign for 12-to-17 years old adolescents in Phnom Penh and three provinces, HE said that he has agreed to go ahead with administering boosters shots, using the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Those who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine may get either the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine as a third dose, HE added.
That's got to be a disappointment.
HE had the AZ vaccine. Will he be having some Sinovac or Sinopharm for his booster shot?

You really think he would subject his body to an inferior vaccine? That's for the peons.

8 more ‘Delta’ cases suspected in Phnom Penh

Authorities decided to block 2 parts of Phnom Penh in response in Russey Keo and Tuol Kork

Now part of Toul Kork is blockaded. This is the new playbook for Delta: swoop - secure the streets - test everyone in sight. I think this is the first purely random mass testing that they have done, so the numbers might really scare them.
Either the Delta will just disappear or so many places will be closed as to be effectively in another complete lockdown.

Coming to a street near you soon...

perhaps if they opened the borders with Thailand, than people would no longer sneak across untested, but once again be tested on arrival and quarantined if they test positive.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
