COVID-19: Over 426 New Cases Bring Tally to 36,666
AKP Phnom Penh, June 10, 2021 --

Cambodia this morning detected 426 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the tally thus increased to 36,666.

The Ministry of Health’s press release shows that among the new cases, 46 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

At the same time, up to 760 more patients have recovered; bringing the total cured cases to 29,807.

Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic claimed 11 more lives; the total number of fatal cases in the Kingdom rose to 300.

Cambodia News, Siem Reap: On the afternoon of June 10, 2021, the Siem Reap administration issued a statement about setting up red areas in four villages of Siem Reap city. The Siem Reap administration is honored to inform the public that: Commander of the provincial commission of the provinces, has decided to set the red area at the villages, Prey Thom village, Chlong village and Srenga village of Siem Reap district.

The Siem Reap administration would like to inform the citizens who are directly involved with any people from the above location to please hurry up and get tested for Covid-19 virus. If there is a health change, please call 955 012 474/077, 789 007.

The number of imported cases is still relatively high at 49 today.

COVID-19: 11 New Deaths, 655 New Infections, 810 New Recoveries
AKP Phnom Penh, June 11, 2021 --

The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed 11 more lives; bringing the total fatal cases in Cambodia to 311, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health this morning.

Meanwhile, it continued, 655 new cases were reported, of which 49 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

Cambodia’s COVID-19 tally now jumped to 37,321, the same source pointed out.

Fortunately, it added, the Ministry of Health recorded 810 new recoveries; the total cured patients rose to 30,617.

COVID-19: Tally Rises to 38,427 with 468 New Cases
AKP Phnom Penh, June 13, 2021 --

The total confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia jumped to 38,427 this morning with the detection of 468 new infections.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, 31 of the new cases are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

At the same time, 636 more patients have successfully recovered from COVID-19; the total recovered cases in Cambodia now stood at 31,858.

Besides, there were 15 new coronavirus-related deaths; the total fatal cases rose to 335.

One of the newspapers should employ this guy and use his stats and graphs on their front page.

The tests performed and Positive results ratios were getting quite frothy at 15% and are still at the 10% mark. As long as you keep the number of tests below 7000 all will be well; this is the new normal.

Recoveries outnumbering new cases (such as those totals are) again. I wish they hadn't stopped posting the numbers of cases in PP so we could get some sense of the efficacy of the vaccinations being issued.

COVID-19: Tally Crosses 40,000 Mark
AKP Phnom Penh, June 16, 2021 --

Cambodia’s tally of COVID-19 jumped to 40,157 with the detection of 693 new infections this morning, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.

The source underlined that of the new cases, 33 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

At the same time, it continued, 754 newly recovered patients were reported; bringing the total number of cured cases in the Kingdom to 34,325.

Besides, COVID-19 killed seven more people; the total fatal cases thus rose to 368, it pointed out.
