Some of the markets that had been closed due to Covid for a while have now re-opened.

Does anyone know if Orussey Market has followed suit, or when it might be re-opened?

Cambodia moves closer to herd immunity with receipt of one million doses of Covid-19 vaccines

[that should probably read: Phnom Penh moves closer to herd immunity with receipt of one million doses of Covid-19 vaccines]

Cambodia this morning received 1,000,000 doses of China-made COVID-19 vaccine, comprising 500,000 doses of Sinopharm and 500,000 doses of Sinovac.

Dr. Yuok Sambath, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, and her colleagues welcomed the arrival of the new batch of vaccines at Phnom Penh International Airport.

In a Facebook comment last night, Prime Minister HE said if nothing changes, Cambodia will get 1 million more doses of COVID-19 vaccines on June 12, and another 1 million doses on June 19.

Not so bad compared to many countries, both third world and western. Canada is something like only half the number of fully vaccinated (albeit with vaccines that have considerably better efficacy) and many African countries haven't even begun. Looks like maybe October is a possibility. Fingers crossed!

Good compared to a lot of countries but it looks like the peak has been reached at about 70/80k vaccines per day. At that rate we are around 7/8 months away from reaching the target.

Probably see the figures drop after PP has been done as will be harder to see the same rate rurally. My guess would be 9 mil by end of the year. Still a lot better than anyone would have thought 6 months ago
