Two Fake Military Arrested in Battambang

Cambodia News (Battambang): On April 21, 2021, in Sdao village, Banna district, Battambang, the Royal Gendarmerie arrested two suspects who used illegal military clothing and insignia, pretending to have public authority.

The suspects were identified as Ros Vannak, a 33-year-old man, who used the military uniform, and Rai Vansey, a 40-year-old man, a driver. The evidence confiscated consisted of a gun, a pair of lieutenant rank, name tag, a medal for honor, the logo of the Ministry of National Defense, a pair of shoes, a shirt, a cap, 2 phones, a fake royal decree giving the appointment of lieutenant, and a car.
The suspects' case was prepared for submission to the court.
