A policeman was injured
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): Two phone snatchers were arrested after driving a motorbike into a lockdown control post, and injuring a police officer, at 1:45 pm, on April 21, 2021, in Sangkat Psar Depor, Khan Toul Kok, Phnom Penh.
Two suspects rode a Wave motorbike, plate PP 1G-5157, on Russian Federation road from west to east, where the suspects snatched a phone from the victim, a cleaner on the street. Then, the thieves drove off on the motorbike to escape with the phone, when suddenly they hit the lockdown control point, manned by police. A police officer was sent to the hospital.
The suspects were arrested immediately. They were sent to the police station for questioning and case preparation. The phone was returned to the victim.

Thier in more trouble now, trying to break the barricade than stealing a phone

I'm always amazed at how these thieves dump a Honda Dream for an OPPO phone probably worth less than $50 on the black market.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

It's a desperate situation when snatchers are reduced to stealing phones from old ladies who sweep the streets, so take care when you are out foraging for food or whatever. Don't walk around with too much cash, and leave your new iphone at home and take the old shitty one when you go out.
