Booze in Kandal
I heard you can still buy alcohol in Kandal province. Any truth to that?

Re: Booze in Kandal
Been confused about this...
Is it a ban on additional stock purchases? Or is it a ban on sales to direct consumers?

What's so confusing about it, the directive is pretty clear ...
1. All states (?), supermarkets, marts, restaurants, cafes, food stalls, cafes, cafes, and food and beverage businesses of all kinds are temporarily suspended from selling all kinds of alcohol for two (2) weeks. From April 11, 2021 to April 24, 2021.

Getting clearer, ... so far, this is what I infer from the press releases ...PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 11:19 pm What's so confusing about it, the directive is pretty clear ...

- Fulfilment of past orders placed is still allowed provided the sale concluded before the start of the ban.
- Sales to direct consumers is banned.
- There is no restriction on private consumption in private events and functions, provided proof is available of purchase date.
- No framework yet.
Not sure if I'm reading the wording right, but if this is the case then it's quite a relaxed ban.
Much less restrictive than Singapore at the least.
Hope it works for Phnom Penh. Might reduce the potential spreads, while not harming businesses too much.
