Alcohol Sales Banned/No dining-in - PP

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Still quite a few places selling (all the ones that were during the last lockdown)

Time to stock up I think

I know "liqour shops" have had to close, maybe SD are classed as that? As far as I know, there isn't actually a ban on alcohol sales unless I'm missing something. The Bonjour shop at the local Total was selling this morning and they're normally sticklers for the rules

What's the latest update on bars and restaurants opening in PP. A friend , yes I do have one , messaged me to say he was drinking at one right now and yet I thought the ban on alcohol sales were extended for another 14 days .

I can possibly imagine how he has managed to get his hands on some :beer2:

Just a quick question. Have you been out of the house anytime in the last 2 weeks?

So…. Can we?

Or has city hall extended its restriction on joy and socializing?

It seems that alcohol delivery , at least, is permitted in some fashion, as nham24 menus haven't removed booze like last time. A reputable alcohol delivery company has also maintained their ability to do so, just as a sidenote for those looking to stock up a bit.

O'Dear, looks like the information was right but the facts were wrong. He was drinking coffee.
