Why are posts being deleted?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Why are posts being deleted?

Post by Artisan »

Genuine question,
I had this back and forth replies with Snoink on Cambodia After Dark.
Now they are all gone and when checking my inbox it states "You are not authorised to read this forum"
No explanation or a word from the moderator or whomever edited this.
Why?
Sincerely yours

Well it weren't me!

I had to go digging to see what you were talking about. Presumably, it was in the 'club love/pontoon' thread.

I can't imagine why you'd be losing sleep over your back and forward with Snoink.
Here is the extent of your conversation:

" Artisan: Get some sleep.

Snoink: Not exactly a convenient time to Promote yourself, is it?

Artisan: weirdo

Snoink: Murderer.

Artisan: popcorn"

No doubt it was deleted for taking up valuable cyber space. :please:

or, possibly for being a little off topic.

Thanks Username Taken,

Let's hear it then from the person who actually deleted it.

Why? What's your point?

Oops, sorry. Are you the guy we hired to start random irrelevant threads to boost the views?

You're doing a great job! Over 200 already!

I thought it would be common decency to at least explain to both parties involved why posts are deleted.
Your comments (UT) are both ludicrous and condescending.
Taking up cyberspace, don't make me laugh.
Going off topic, well I guess you will have to delete way more posts.
So please UT, refrain from any comment and give the "deleter" a chance to explain his thought of behaviour.
Thank you.

So please Artisan, howz about you take this to PM, seeing as this is of absolutely no interest to anyone except yourself. Thank you.

Hi Brody,

Thanks for the advice, I will do so. At least something constructive, thanks.
Correct me if i am wrong but I do think it is of interest for everyone.
Anyway I will PM Jamie and Clutchcargo, no need to PM UT since he already spoke loud enough.

The (Social) Science of Complaining for Belgians
by Bert Hendrickx , 08.10.2014
Remember that time you wrote a letter and sent it to your energy provider because you were unsatisfied with your bill? The digital evolution has caused a lot of changes in the (corporate) world, while the rise of Social Media has taken away the role of ‘gatekeepers’, holding off information, or complaints.

3 out of 4 Belgians have complained at least once, and more and more these complaints are taken to Social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. They reach out, not only to manufacturers, retailers or service providers, but also to millions of other consumers. This requires a whole new approach from the company to the complainer
