Could've been easily resolved with a PM to any mod, but now that it's public..

I'll fess up that I'm the "deleter".

As to my behaviour, UT soundly covered the reasons for that in his earlier post: post484426.html#p484426

I would only add the catalyst for me doing so was one of those posts (I think you can guess which one) was reported by a member along the lines of 'sinking to a new low'. I did think whether the post was 'tongue in cheek' or otherwise.. but for the reasons UT mentioned, I thought it better to just clean up the conversation (if you can call it that ).

As to whether to notify, I thought it would be self evident why it might be deleted and therefore not necessary. I also thought it not something likely to get precious/concerned about. Seems I was wrong about that.

So there you have it. You know, GM is a slave driver and us poor, unpaid, tireless mod souls have to sometimes make certain decisions as best we can for the benefit of the majority..
