Cambodia News, (Pursat Province): On April 5, 2021, police went to the scene to examine Lim Pros, 54, a widower, who was found dead in Prey Treng village, about 200 meters south of Boeung Sandan, in the village of Bot Kandol, Boeung Bot Kandol commune, Bakan district.
The corpse lay with the head to the west, naked, but no flesh left, only the skeleton. There were no broken bones or signs of violence.

According to the man's daughter, Lim Kunthea, her father, who was an alcoholic and mentally ill, rode away from home on a bicycle on March 9, 2021, and he never returned. Although she searched for her father for many days, she never saw him again.
Then, at about 6 pm on April 4, 2021, she heard villagers say that someone had been found dead in the forest, and she went to identify her father.

Colonel Neang Vuth, police inspector of Bakan district, said that after the technical and medical police officers carefully examined and autopsied the body, they concluded that Lim Pros died of wandering in the forest and starving to death. The inspector added that the specialized police force made notes and handed over the body to the family for the traditional ceremony. RIP.

That's one grim headline.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

God, is charity so lacking that he could not find enough to eat or was he just so mentally ill? Very sad. It reminds me of the stories of those who opted to die of starvation out of despair.

The article neglects to mention how she ID’d a skeleton as her father. Oh and they did an autopsy on a skeleton? And determined he died of “wandering in the forest” & starvation? That’s one hell of an ME!
she was quite pretty and looked older
she knew only what had been told her
