Some timber smugglers must have dobbed them in because they were breaking the law.

More and more news of crackdowns on cannabis of all things while meth only increases in prevalence. Even their neighbor Thailand is taking a lax approach on cannabis. Are they ending the general ignoring of hash and weed or are these just specific cases where some got in trouble for some reason or another?

They are operating outside of The Guild.

Thailand isn't really taking a relaxed approach to cannabis at all to be fair. Not with THC at least, mostly just CBD.
So now Thai people can buy CBD products which comes from marijuana but the CBD isn't what gets you high. THC is the part of marijuana that gets you high and you're only allowed 0.2% THC in your marijuana plants in Thailand. That means you would literally have to smoke joints the size of palm trees all day to catch a buzz as 'good' marijuana is 20%+ THC these days.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is most commonly used for seizure disorder (epilepsy). It is also used for anxiety, pain, a muscle disorder called dystonia, Parkinson disease, Crohn disease, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
People aren't going to be able to purchase any weed to smoke at a coffeeshop or eat some space cake in the park that will get you stoned and high, it's just medicinal stuff for what ails you
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

I really could be misunderstanding but the allowance of people to grow some plants for sale and loose regulation of medical use certainly seems like a much more permissive stance with discussion of further relaxing. I think some of the medical claims are dubious and intended to provide a door for recreational use.Captain Bonez wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 5:28 pm
