Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On April 1, 2021, at 12:30 pm, a 56-year-old Malaysian man, PETER CHAI TZE YEE, a restaurant owner, was found dead at PTH apartment in the house no. 22D, street 168, Sangkat Beun Kengkorng 3, Phnom Penh.

The victim's belongings were returned to the representative of the Malaysian Embassy, Mohd Syaz wan Mohd Nasir.

The police said the victim came to stay at the PTH apartment on September 1, 2020; he signed a 1-year contract, and he had paid a 600 USD deposit.
Then, on April 1, at 03:19 am, the victim's friend, Oub Chansela, a 32-year-old man, received a message via messenger. The message said, " All the best, and goodbye." Later, at 11:16 am, Oub Sela tried to replied to the victim's message and received no response. Then, he called the landlord, who used a card to unlock the door and found that the victim had taken his own life and was dead on the floor. This was reported to the police immediately.

According to the examination by specialist police and Dr. Norng Sovannaroth, the victim strangled himself to death; the body was kept at Stueng Meanchey pagoda, waiting for the family to claim it.
RIP and condolences to family and friends.

According to another website it was a plastic bag over the head and a rubber band round the neck.

Either way, what a way to go.

CEO News deliberately decided not to describe the method of suicide in detail.

Obviously determined, unless your hands are tied, it takes a lot of willpower not to rip that off

Well suffocation vs. strangulation is a big difference, skip the details but keep to the facts?
