Curfew News and Updates

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

These "law enforcers" don't mess about.... 20 minutes ago had one driving quite fast in str. 136, wielding his stick, shouting at elderly Khmer people. All scattered, fleeing into their homes... Spooky.
Peopla are still on their balconies, others came back outside talking about what just happened.

From what I have seen on social media so far it seems one or two basic human rights have been taken off the table without former notice.

Young beautiful girls exempted.

Yeah, several police on 4 motos came down our street about the same time yelling at people 'Go inside!'

When they came to a bunch of homeless kids there, the older kid said: 'How can I go inside when I don't have a home?'...nuff said :whistler:

...nuff said! What did the police do for the bunch of kids, is there no provision made for homeless people, they are in the firing line of covid and other illness. Would they also not qualify for the vaccine being venerable?
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Yes, clutchcargo, he did.

If you're going to ask a question, don't do it in a karma comment. It's confusing. :thumb:

For those who think that they can say what they want and nobody will know who you are....beware.

Men who posted “drinking and driving” video on social media tracked down by police
Khmer Times

2 hapless drinkers who posted a video on TikTok of themselves defying the Government ban on alcohol – as well as breaking the Lockdown on non essential travel – have been tracked down and arrested by the Anti-Technology Crime Department of the General Commission of the National Police today.

Lt. Gen. Chea Pov, director of the Anti-Technology Crime Department stated that the Department used computer forensics to track down the 2 men who posted a video of a “drinking party”.

After careful investigation and under the command of General Dr. Neth Savoeun, the National Police Commissioner, in cooperation with the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, the two men were identified and arrested.

TikTok
The 2 men have been identified as Pin Neath, 28 years old, living in Kor village, Banteay Chakrei commune, Preah Sdach district, Prey Veng province and Ho Chim, 25 years old, living in Po village, Banteay Chakrei commune, Preah Sdach district, Prey Veng province,

Although both men are from Prey Veng, they are currently working in Phnom Penh.

The two individuals are now being interrogated at the Phnom Penh Municipal Police Headquarters.

Why are the Crime Department anti-technology? Are they Luddites?
