Curfew News and Updates
Re: Curfew News and Updates
With the vaccine roll-out and a lack of testing beyond 5-7000 a day, the infection rate appears capped at >1000, and, as long as that stays the same, PP should be spared any more lockdowns.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 6:12 pm So, fellow posters, do we have updates on the present state of curfews and restrictions around the country ?
Siem Reap is back to curfew for 2 weeks, SHV too I think, and the governor of PP keeps repeating "no lockdown planned" (sounds ominious IMO). And elsewhere ?
Any further curfews of 8pm - 4am are counter productive as it just forces people out at earlier times and makes places busier from 5pm -7.30pm for evening dining, instead of spreading it out.
But that doesn't mean they wont do it.

Re: Curfew News and Updates
I understand the clubs and KTV's etc, once you have booze and crowds you loose control. But this global persecution of gyms is unwarranted and prevents good healthy habits which might be very hard for some people to restart.
Spin classes with 30 people panting for air in a hot sweaty room is not a good idea, but the weights section, treadmills and the yoga/stretching areas are manageable. You can keep numbers down with a members-only strict booking system with 45 minute slots and staff wiping down equipment constantly (rather than doing nothing all day and playing with their phones).
These gyms occupy very large and expensive buildings and can only survive for so long with no income. When they go who will want to start a new one with Covid and all it's mutations still circling the globe?

And disco clubs opposite FCC
Re: Curfew News and Updates
Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that restaurants (not noted in required shutdown above) would likely have more people than a massage shop (noted above as required for temporary closure)?
Must be a degree of politics going on, moreso than a genuine concern to prevent the spread of Covid.

This seems to be exactly the same directive issued weeks ago?
Silence, exile, and cunning.
Re: Curfew News and Updates
Why don't the gyms open a 'restaurant' section so they can operate 'normally' - you know, like the nightclubs are all doing ... Time to re-open the "Gym Bar" - but one that accidentally has some decorative weights laying around?
