Cambodia News, (Tbong Khmum): This morning, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 7:00am on National Road 7 in Pun Reay Village, Tbong Khmum Province, there was a traffic accident when a motorcycle carrying three people hit a cow which was crossing the road. The impact of the shock with the cow pushed the motorbike in front of a car, crushing two people to death and seriously injuring one.

Dum Mao, male, 47 years old, Khmer nationality, living in Po Ty Village, Prey Veng Province was driving the motorbike when it hit the cow, causing the two passengers to fall on to the road where they were run over by another vehicle. One of the passengers was the driver's mother-in-law, aged 65, and the other person was her grandson, aged 13.
As for Dong Mao, he was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. The driver of the car drove off without stopping.

After the incident, the local police force went to inspect the above location and will temporarily store the evidence in accordance with legal procedures. They said that the accident was caused by the cow crossing the road and by the carelessness of the motorbike driver.

According to khmer law the owner of that cow should be on the hook for a lot of money:
