Jamie is correct.

Visa Number classification codes;
- First Letter indicates the Visa type ie. A, B, C, D, E, K, T
  • "A" indicates Diplomatic Visa
  • "B" indicates Official Visa
  • "C" indicates Courtesy Visa
  • "D" indicates Transit Visa
  • "E" indicates Ordinary Visa
  • "K" indicates Special Visa
  • "T" indicates Tourist Visa
- Second letter indicates the issuing authority
  • "I" indicates issued by the DoI on arrival
  • "F" indicates issued overseas by the MoFAIC via an Embassy/Consulate

Extension of Stay Number classification codes;
- First Letter indicates the Visa type ie. A, B, C, D, E, K, T
- Second letters indicate that it is an EOS
  • "ex" indicates Extension of Stay
- Stamp on Sticker indicates category of EOS (only applies to E-type EOS's)
  • "EB" indicates Business
