We Wanna Go Home - Two Kids on a Bicycle Get Lost on Epic Trek
Cambodia News, (Kampong Chhnang): Two sisters rode a bicycle from Phnom Penh with the intention of going home in Kampong Cham province, but lost their way and arrived Kampong Tralach District, Kampong Chhnang Province.
After dark, at more than 7 pm on March 15, 2021, the two children were found by some local people who realized that they were lost.
The two girls, 14-year-old Lay Xing Lang and 12-year-old Lay Xing Lan, both live in O Stung village, Chamkar Leu district, Kampong Cham province, have a father named Lay and a mother named Jim. But, about a month ago, the two children were taken by an aunt named Heang to Phnom Penh.
The kids were homesick and missing their parents, so about 12 noon on March 15, the two girls left Phnom Penh on a bicycle without telling their aunt. The purpose was to return to their hometown in Kampong Cham province, but they did not know the way, so they got totally lost.
That evening, the two children rode their bicycle to the front of Wat Serey Kongkea in Kampong Chhnang, and they stopped there to ask their way home, only to find out that they were lost. The people then took the girls in and looked after them, giving them food, water, and somewhere to rest until some relatives came for them.
The authorities were notified, and on 16 March they launched an appeal to anyone who knows the girls or their relatives to please contact the police in Kampong Tralach district to get the two kids home to their family.

Brave kids, happy that nothing happened.
14 years old seems a bit old, not knowing your own adress, or any family phone number though....

Out in the sticks the name of the village is your address, no street names or house numbers. I suspect that in Cambodia if they don’t own a mobile phone they don’t bother keeping phone numbers, they leave that to family members or friends who do own phones, especially so for kids.Ghostwriter wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:17 am Brave kids, happy that nothing happened.

They should be school sponsored by some rich people from the Tour de Cambodia cycling club or something, honestly.Jamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 11:17 am thats 55km they rode on that little bike! thats a good effort in his heat and considering there was 2 of them too

Just pleased they're safe & alive, bearing in mind all the sick freaks out there
Re: We Wanna Go Home - Two Kids on a Bicycle Get Lost on Epic Trek
What surprise's me more about this story is that over the time of the two girls cycling 55 kilometers, that there is no mention that they were both not reported missing from Phnom Penh over that period.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
