Cambodian Nazis?
Cambodian Nazis?
Before I get started I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm 100% aware that the swastika has it's origins in Asia and that it's been used for religious purposes for centuries, before it was made infamous by the NSDAP. With that in mind, let me ask you the following. Are the Nazis sort of popular with the Khmer people? I've lost count of how many times I've seen a Khmer with fashion/accessoirs that was inspired by symbols of the 3rd Reich. Among plain swastika (swastika turning to the right side, 45degree angle, white circle, red background) t-shirts, to a swastika rear lamp on a scoopie, over several incarnations of the "Reichsadler" and even an SS rune shirt, it seems to me that national-socialism is quite fashionable with young Cambodians these days. So, I'm left wondering "do these clowns even know what they're advocating here?"
It would appear obvious to me that the Khmer wouldn't be to happy about idealising a genocidal regime in light of the stuff that went down here a few decades ago (especially since they are very clearly "sub-human" in accordance to the ideology that they help promote).
I do hope, that the idiots who wear those clothes and sport these logos aren't aware of the implications that come with them (the average cambodian seems to know bugger all about WW2)
Or maybe the Khmer are the master race and they'll purge us all from existence

I guess, it’s the little things you’ve got to add up here. Have you ever watched Cambodian TV ( CTN or something) ? How many times do they use the word “khmer” just within one hour ?
The entire society is brainwashed, cut off from the outside world due to a lack of language skills. This results in a dangerous combination of ignorance, intolerance, nationalism/racism, and sheer idiotism. When it comes to “swastikas” I’m thinking they are just naïve (not sure though) but when it comes to “master race” – YES !! They really do think that they are a master race. There is no other way to explain their extreme aggression towards everything that is foreign.

In war, events of importance are the result of trivial causes.

Ohhh, I forgot - monks - whether they are in Cambodia or Thailand or Laos have always been the biggest Nazis. They preach racism on a daily basis and are a major factor within the brainwashing system.

Ignore lozzmozz. That's just the pathetic, friendless little stalker Francis demonstrating his usual fucktardery for the hundredth time. He has nothing better to do, being the desperate loser he is. He created multiple other sockpuppets again too...some of them pretending to be young females. So sad.EdinWigan wrote:Are you guys for real ?

Re: Cambodian Nazis?
I think its more a matter of ignorance of European history than anything else. Many young Khmers are unaware of the KR years and many young Japanese are unaware of the actions of their army during WW2. Not surprising as I knew little about American history and the atrocities the British committed in colonising India.Jacket wrote:Before I get started I want to make it perfectly clear that I'm 100% aware that the swastika has it's origins in Asia and that it's been used for religious purposes for centuries, before it was made infamous by the NSDAP. As you noted the swastika has had religious significance in Asia for centuries. I think this coupled with being unaware of the negative aspects it holds for Europeans is the answer.
The Seal on Buddha's Heart
The swastika is an ancient religious symbol dating back 3000 years. Many historians believe it was initially a fire and sun symbol occurring in Asia and later among some Germanic tribes. Up until the 20th century, it evolved as a highly auspicious talisman, evoking thoughts of reverence, good fortune, and well being. In the Buddhist tradition of India, it is referred to as "The Seal on Buddha's Heart". In Japanese and Chinese Buddhism, a swastika often appears on the chest of past and modern images of Gautama Buddha; however, due to the continued consternation of Western tourists, many modern Asian artists have chosen to eliminate it as one of the 32 signs of a supreme being. The debate as to whether this ancient religious symbol can be restored to its rightful place in history tirelessly continues. How such an auspicious and truly noble symbol came to represent tyrannical oppression and racial genocide is perhaps one of the greatest paradoxes of world history.
