Re: Cambodian Nazis?
it was everywhere in Europe from Ancient Greece to Denmark...throughout history... but the Nazi rotated it by 45 degrees...
Calaburg Trademark 1881 (nothing to do with killings Jews or living space)
Nazis Trademark 1928-1945 (mainly to do with killings Jews or living space)
not the same...

Re: Cambodian Nazis?
I have seen the nazi stuff in Thailand, but never here. Then again, I don't pay much attention to the fads and fashions of Khmer youth, or anybody for that matter. Interesting how full of ourselves we can be, expecting Cambodians and such to be as sensitive to our culture and history as we are. We come here and open 'Buddha Bars' and produce promo materials using Buddha's image in direct conflict with their norms and culture. (And I can't imagine how many are in the west. I've seen several.) Phnom Penh even has a foreigner run club named after the greatest mass murder (of Asians) of the 20th century - Mao's Club - and barely an eye is batted. Not to mention Mao t-shirts being popular in the west. The swastika is an Asian symbol for God, not a nazi symbol here. And in so far as it is sometimes used in fashion here as a nazi symbol, it's just their version of Mao's Club or a Mao t-shirt.

Say what you will about the NDSAP's extreme ring-wing views, but they did have style.
