Harry's. Larrys. Exchange. Ostro. Gastro. Metro. Then of course, there is that whole other world beyond riverside that I am sure you have heard about?armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 10:18 amSitting on Riverside with a can of warm Ganzberg and eating Khmer noodles.joelightcloud wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 10:06 amPlease share these "plenty other options" with us all.ego bibere nimis wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:35 am Plenty of other options at the moment, so until this lunacy stops better to seek alternatives imho.

No need to get chirpy bud, I never said it was the only option.ego bibere nimis wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 10:28 amHarry's. Larrys. Exchange. Ostro. Gastro. Metro. Say that (15 people) in PP Post..... so looks about rightDoc67 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:59 amIs this 15 max rule going to be applied to restaurant/bars, or is this going to be the rule for bars to reopen?armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:50 am I'm hearing the new rule is - gatherings must not exceed 15 people.
A plus for the smaller establishments with less staff. But bars may have to close regardless of size.
Most of those bars haven't seen more than 15 people in them for a very long time.

Re: Phnom Penh bars forced to close, arrests made
I watched Sizzlers "ask for it". The competent ones went to 118, where they ordered signs off (very few outside), then they spent an age in 130 laying the letter. Everyone was well aware of their no-nonsense presence (they were visible from space). The cavalcade (motorcade, fleet, caravan?) of Z-vehicles then started at the top (CONVOY!) of a block away+ from Sizzlers (Smile), and slowly pervade riverward with blue and red aflicker (I was the one clapping curbside). So, there was enough warning for the accusees to tear the bar down and rebuild it before the 5.0 show. I think it is this act of disregard that is seen as a stance, even a challenge (sing it sisters!), that can't be tolerated for fear of contagion (of complacency rather than "The Vid"), which makes for an ideal example volunteer.
As for "where to go?", it's pretty hard to tell you when; 1)only allowed to keep to a few; 2)t'would need to be somewhere they knew you, and; 3)I wouldn't have a clue (I could guess, but it doesn't rhyme with few). As one of a few, or of one, in the bar, you will get swamped for drinks which, for me, results in a tactical retreat, anyway.
If you decide to wear black and the full-face mask and pathetically walk the streets until you get called in, and obey (which I am against and do not recommend you doing so, as it is unlawful and socially destructive. Such shameful activity should only be conducted as clandestine research and infiltration), think back door. More as an exit than entry. I am thankful to those keeping us safe.

Can anyone confirm the new rules for this, specifically around the 172 area. Seems a consensus of all bars closing around 8/8:30 but this isn't happening in other districts and there isn't an official directive as far as I can see.
