Does anyone know where we can get one of the Covid vaccines in Cambodia?
Re: Covid-19 VACCINE News
For us there was...The local Sanghat guy had to fill out a form for us then it was off to the Teuk Thla Pagota Sen Sok district ..about 6 or 7 queues and 30 minutes later and we got our shots.clutchcargo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 9:13 am Wasn't there a requirement that expats provide a doco from your sangkat to present at the vax centre? Or is that dropped once your sangkat is scheduled for local vaccine rollout?
I thought that might involve your landlord to show residency evidence (FPCS or lease?). I heard that online vaccine registration system doesn't cut it for that.

Bak Touk at Orrusey closest to riverside. I dont know if you can just rock up to any old place thoughDoc67 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 7:50 am What Health Centres in Phnom Penh are currently doing vaccinations?
I have been told that once you have had your first - and got onto the system - you can go anywhere for the second, no questions asked. The centre for the first shot was way out in the boonies (way past Makro) so something more local to Riverside would very handy.
So, has anyone got the latest places to go?

For those still asking about vaccines, especially if you live in PP, you need to get onto your landlord. AFAIK, by now, everyone in PP should either have had their shots or be in the process of getting them.
I mention this because our landlord phoned my partner by accident and just before they put the phone down, my partner just happened to question if there was any news about the vaccine, and our landlord said "Oh, now you come to mention it, yes, they came yesterday and asked for the names of everyone living in the apartment block. You have to go next Tuesday at 2.00 for your vaccine."
Had it not been for the chance accidental phone call and my partner taking the opportunity to enquire about it, we would never have known about it and missed it entirely.

I got vaccinated at a school on St 105 and 290 (ish).
I had a form that my brother-in-law organised.

Good news for those in Daun Penh and a couple of other districts: vaccinations will start from Thursday 10th:

It seems that the original centres will only be offering 2nd. shots from tomorrow, but 1st. shots will be given at the new centres opening then.
Two workmates went for a 2nd. shot at the BKK1 centre, separately, on Friday. They were both told 1st. shots were no longer available and one of them was even refused his 2nd. shot and told to come back Saturday, as they had run out of vaccine.
I received my 1st. shot at the Prek Eng centre this morning. This was after being told that today was the final day for 1st. shots. The procedure was relatively simple. My employers organised the paper from the sanghat, which stated I was in the 7-9 am group to be vaccinated. No problems encountered. Though they didn't start vaccinating till 8 am, older recipients were moved to the top of the queue.

We, or our district had the same notice on the vaccination program. I unfortunately have never received such a letter of invitation, or any sort of invite for the vaccine.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 5:25 pm Good news for those in Daun Penh and a couple of other districts: vaccinations will start from Thursday 10th:
I read on the forum of people and members who have been now vaccinated. Also I personally know of Khmer whom have also had their shot's, some being given in local health centers, and others who have been vaccinated at home, it now seems in my area of the city that this way of vacation is being carried out by community leaders (bosses) if you wish, and yesterday the community around myself we're gathered outside, to see who wanted the vaccine. My partner spoke on my behalf so there's no confusion on the language barrier. The simple reply back from the organisers was "No Barrang".
Always "hope" but never "expect".
