I know it says in the other thread - Cambodia reported 909 confirmed cases of COVID-19, but how many people are in isolation? It was not long ago when the authorities said they were stretched then.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

No, your missus is just succumbing to the hysteria. OP: the doctor says its pneumonia which is bad. Doctor says go home, take medicine, dont work. Take the doctor's advice not some random forum member's advice. Return to the hospital immediately if he gets worse.

It says pneumonia in English
Thanks everyone- I had hoped the causative organism was mentioned.
This is a chronic condition for this man so I was hoping they would find some detail this time.

His doctor just tested positive for c19 and has been quarantined along with 4 other docs.
Surprised they discharged him with no quarantine.

Finding the organism requires testing. A skilled pathologist needs to look at it under a microscope and identify it. Same goes with a cancer diagnosis. Needs a CT machine/MRI, tissue specimen, etc. Unless there’s a separate paper detailing such a tests, only a generic diagnosis can be given.

Yeah he has had lots of sputum/culture tests.
hemoptysis on the report means coughing up blood.
Seems this all comes from having TB years ago.
Thanks for the input in helping me understand.

It seems that they either found the causative organism and they didn't tell you what it is, or they didn't really test it as NKOTB described.

If you think this is a serious problem and someone is willing to pay for it, you could take him somewhere else and try to get better treatment/ better diagosis. You could also go back to this hospital and try to get more information.

It seems that many doctors in Cambodia don't tell their patients much (they assume the don't understand), and they just give them medications and that's it. If you want to know more you have to come armed with questions.
