An angry man has found out that, when throwing rocks, a Lexus is an easier target than a motorbike driver.


Cambodia News (Kampong Chhnang): On March 2, 2021, at 11:30 am, a 20-year-old man, El Sokny, was arrested for throwing a rock at a motorbike driver in Chrey Bak district, Roleak Paear district, Kampong Chhnang.

The suspect attempted to attack the motorbike driver, but instead, the rock hit a Lexus car on the street, causing a person in the car to get injured.

After the incident, the suspect with the evidence was taken to the police station for case preparation.

Another stone-thrower was arrested yesterday.


Cambodia News, (Battambang): On March 25, 2021 at 8:30 at Anlong Krouch village, Buor commune, Phnom Proek district Battambang Province, police arrested a 31-year-old male suspect Van Choeun, for deliberately damaging the window of a truck driving on the road.

On March 23, 2021 at 1:30am an unidentified suspect threw stones at the windshield of a yellow Hyundai truck, breaking the window on the right side while it was driving along the road.
Fortunately the driver was not injured, but the 42-year-old car owner named Sea Seng filed a complaint with the local police about this incident. After an investigation by police, the suspect confessed to them that he was the one who threw the stones. He said he did it because he was angry with the bright headlights of the truck which dazzled him.
However, this is only the suspect's claim, and the authorities are not inclined to believe him, because they say that there have been a number of cases of a man throwing stones at cars at night on the very same stretch of road. It seems that the man is a habitual offender, and he will be sent to Battambang Provincial Court for legal proceedings.

Throwing rocks at cars seems much more sensible/cheaper than burning down family/friends houses
