Cambodia News, (Poipet City): The body of the victim has been identified as 23-year-old Huon Srey, a casino employee living in Samaki Meanchey Village, Sangkat Poipet City. The young woman was sharing the room with a friend who arrived home to find the door was locked. The body was found lying on the bed with multiple stab wounds.

A Cambodian man, believed to have been known to the victim, has been detained and is being interrogated by Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police and Poipet City Police.

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey Province): A man accused of rape and murder said that he fell in love with a beautiful young woman, which was hidden in his heart for 2 years and he did not dare to confess his love, so she did not look at him.
