We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. They have no choice but to legalize it. At least that way people can ask for help without being arrested

It's definitely odd choice of an emblem considering most Khmers wouldn't even recognize an opium poppy as I don't think they can even grow here.

I'd like to see a break down of what drugs these were. For example what we used to call Class A's like Heroin/Cocaine/Crystal Meth and other chemicals should not be weighed the same way as a bunch of bush weed with stalks, roots and mud from Takeo. Just my two cents. 8)

I wonder how this adds up to previous years, and like you quote John, what are the main substance, being over the two years there has been a lot of Methamphetamine and Ketamine large trafficking busts.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

My 2c.
Nobody ever seems to get busted with weed, except the growers, who are strangely absent from the scene during police raids. Very few busts for heroin and cocaine this year (from what is reported here.)
The big shit is the spread of crystal meth in the population IMO. It's a big concern when meth replaces rice wine in the villages. The yama pills are also cheap and available everywhere. (From what they say.)
