I have to say, I'm just about over the never ending violence CEO seems to take pleasure in reporting.
Can I ask why CEO feels these types of stories ad value to the site? How many really do want to hear about hackings, stabbings and suicides all day every day? Or does CEO think this type of reporting makes it edgy and cool?

Maybe not cool, but certainly edgy are the meat cleaver attack stories. Keep those coming!Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 6:14 am I have to say, I'm just about over the never ending violence CEO seems to take pleasure in reporting.

It's local news, and we help bring the local news to everyone in English. Not sure what you mean by 'takes pleasure' in reporting. Did you wrongly take something written as sarcastic?Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 6:14 am I have to say, I'm just about over the never ending violence CEO seems to take pleasure in reporting.
And as an FYI, it appears to me that 'TRUE CRIME' is probably one of the most popular Podcast genres in recent years, and only seems to be getting more popular.

Disrespectful. It just doesn't sit right with me.
I reckon we deserve a better class of criminals to grace our pages
- with the long list of high crimes and misdemeanours we have to our names.
I mean, even in the Big House they put us in a different wing to these no-hopers.

I realize this, but when the majority of topics down the page are nothing other than slash, crash and burn, it just gets repetitive. I understand the CEO demographic and why this sort of entertainment is gobbled up by most, but personally I find it boring.

What’s disturbing? Human nature? It’s news for
Christsakes. Bleeds leads. The reader is first and foremost interested in depravity and the publisher/editor serves them accordingly.
If you want high minded stories turn to literature. But of course even there violence leads. Crime and Punishment and all that.
Personally I like the violent stories. Only wish they included the lex talionis. “Glasser gets glassed in public then escorted to hospital for his stitches (after all we’re not savages!)
