its how the media works, no matter what country you are in, the majority of news is bad/fearmongering/violence of some sorts.....then its "and now for some other news, a cat got rescued out of a tree today"
just look at the BBC main page this morning...

its not just CEOs lust for violent news, its just news, good shit barely makes the news, if you do something bad, you get called out on it, if you do something good, its expected, its not news

Also, did CEO write the headline? Or was it a copy and paste job? I ask because it should be "didn't", not "don't", unless you put the word "innit" behind it.

give over lol there are just as many men in violent abusive relationships as there are women, but because of stigma men dont talk about it
some bloke in kampot earlier this week was telling me how is missus has cut him loads of times whenever she gets angry

Are you implying that men reading such a news article do not already think that this is disturbing and need to be taught to feel disturbed? Or that it would be any less disturbing if this perp had glassed a male waiter instead?

I think we can overdo it with making everything a gender issue. This clearly isn't one!

Many many many many more women get physically abused than men, with far more disastrous consequences.
A big man against a small woman - it's usually the woman who loses.
