Kandal Province: A suspected drug user, who was released after 1 year of rehab at the DTA Drug Rehabilitation Center in Phnom Penh, became angry with his father, punched him, and took a machete to cut his father's head open, causing serious injuries on February 24, 2021 at 10:30 at his house in Roka Leu village,Kandal province.
According to Saang district police, the victim was Ouk Mab, a 52-year-old Cambodian farmer living in Roka Leu village, Khpob commune, Saang district, Kandal province (father).
As for the suspect, his name is Mab Bunly, alias Beb, male, 30 years old, Khmer. The captured piece of evidence was a knife with a 36cm long bamboo handle.
The angry suspect took a knife and hacked his father on the right side of the head and punched his jaw with the other hand, causing injuries. The suspect then fled the scene.

Immediately after receiving the above information, the police arrived at the scene and conducted a search until the suspect was arrested and brought to the police station for interrogation. In front of the police, the suspect confessed that he really committed the above case and also admitted that he previously had signed an education contract at the administrative police station in another case of domestic violence.
Currently, the suspect and the exhibit have been sent by the specialized police to the Saang District Police Inspectorate to build a case.
