One Dead, Six Injured, When Boat Didn't Brake in Time

Cambodia News, (Kampong Chhnang): There was a terrible boat accident on the afternoon of February 20, 2021, at 1:30, at the Koh Treng Prek ferry crossing to Kampong Chhnang, when a small ferry boat driven by Pheung Sopheap, male, 28 years old, drove into the river bank with 6 passengers aboard. One man died in the accident; passengers are named as follows:

1. Name: Pheung Sopheap, male, 28 years old, with broken arm and broken head (the driver)
2. Name: Sous To, male, 30 years old, with broken leg
3. Chhin Sovan, male, 28 years old, suffered a broken thigh
4, Suon Thi, male, 32 years old, slightly injured
5, Phon Meng Hong, male, 25 years old, slightly injured
6. Name: Thuon Sarith (aka Koy), male, 30 years old, slightly injured
7. Phon Meng Heang, male, 27 years old (died).

Curious to see the size of the engine, such a small boat, and a big impact...
Is it one of these thin dragster boats that goes faster than a bike ?

It would have to be close to a third of the boats I see in Kampong Chhnang these days have a car motor and go fast. So its not surprising that it would happen eventually. Scary for the people on board and RIP for the poor guy who died. I regularly see a small girl, probably no more than six, driving one of them on her own. I guess she doesn't drive so fast nor does she need to pull start the motor.
