Cambodia News, (Takeo): A man and a woman were further interrogated by the Takeo Provincial Gendarmerie today, 19 February, 2021, after they were arrested yesterday on charges of trafficking more than a kilogram of methamphetamine, which was wrapped as Chinese tea.

Colonel Nget Chanthy, Deputy Commander of the Takeo Provincial Gendarmerie, said that on February 18, 2021, his forces received information that there were drug distribution activities in Krous village, Pearam commune, Bati district, Takeo province, and they were immediately despatched to the scene to investigate. Police then arrested a suspect named Heng Lim Kun, male, 23 years old, with 113.56 grams of drugs and some scales.

Deputy Commander of the Takeo Provincial Gendarmerie continued that after the arrest of the above suspect, the competent authorities conducted an interrogation, which led to the arrest of another drug dealer named Srun Srey Mom, 27 years old, in front of Pong Teuk Primary School, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh. The authorities confiscated 1397.92 grams of white crystal methamphetamine, a scales, and a mobile phone.

Surely there must be a 1kg package apart from the ones always used, that of Chinese tea. I would think that there is a good production opening for new bag makers.
