The police took 3 suspects named Saroeun Makara, an 11-year-old boy, Lek Leang, a 17-year-old boy, and Soy Chenda, a 19-year-old girl, to the police station for questioning. The 11-year-old boy said he got the order from his mother, Teth Nak, to steal a bag , which he hid in the garbage on the way to the waterfall. After that, he ran away to escape. The other two suspects who were the daughter and son-in-law of Teth Nak were also involved in the theft.

On the morning of February 17, 2021, the eleven-year-old went to take the bag, which contained two necklaces, a ring, and some money, and took it to his mother. The police went to check their house and found the bag.
