Richard, try this agent. I have no idea what they will charge to process receipt of personal items through the port. Exporting from Cambodia, brokerage fees can be as high as 1000 dollars...phuketrichard wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 1:12 pm I am looking into sending my personal items, ( well, will be in gf's name to save customs cost)

Importing is a different ballgame, so you must inquire... the shipping agent will process the customs papers for a set fee and then charge you a lot to truck it where you want it to go... good luck. Everything on your end must be in order. You should ask the shipping company the exact document requirements for importing personal items at Sihanoukville port from whichever port in Thailand.
Another problem you may face is having to pay import duty on everything; even though you own it already, they may try to ding you from between five to 40% of the declared value, just because you are a foreigner, or things are slow and they want more money. Got no idea.
(BTW, all land shipping across borders is stopped temporarily as of last week... Even for fresh produce.... I can't believe it. Food was getting across up to now... this will ruin some farmers, and I hope that report wasn't true...)
