Bridegroom Dies on his Wedding Day
Cambodia News (Kampong Chhnang): On February 04, 2021, in Kandal village, Sangkat Psar Chhang, Kampong Chhnang, a man died on his wedding day.
On February 4, at 6:30 am, a traditional Cambodian wedding was held, but the groom, an older man, was feeling unwell, so his family took him to lie down and relax at his house. Then at 3 pm, his family tried to wake him up for the wedding party and greet all the guests, but the victim was fainting or had blood pressure problems, so they took him to hospital.
All the guests came to the wedding party. The victim's family told guests that the groom was sick and couldn't do the greeting. Unfortunately, he died on the way to the hospital.

Re: Bridegroom Dies on his Wedding Day
Obviously a tragedy and very sad for the bride and both families. But the groom? Well maybe he realized that's about as happy as he was likely to get for the rest of his life, and just gave up.

How tragic, the poor bride.

What, no punch up?

It's a bit bloody tragic for the groom too, given he is dead.CaptainCanuck wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 9:30 amHahahahaha ....the man dies and it’s ‘oh, the poor woman’ ......

Really? The grooms’ troubles are over. He’s moved on. Meanwhile the bride is left to deal with the whole messy aftermath.
Seems to be some knee-jerk negativity on this forum whenever Roz speaks her mind re: women. Where does that come from?

It can't be good luck to have your partner die on the wedding day. I imagine the superstitious will be having a field day with that one.CaptainCanuck wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 9:30 amHahahahaha ....the man dies and it’s ‘oh, the poor woman’ ......
That's all I meant. I would have felt the same for the husband had his wife died.
He's gone, he has nothing more to worry about.
What's with all the hostility against me?

Re: Bridegroom Dies on his Wedding Day
What struck me was that the wedding party continued anyway. That must've been a bit weird. And then the funeral the next day...
It shows how precarious life can be... just when you think that you've struck it lucky, it's all over. (Thinking of both bride and groom here.)
