Factory Fire Allegedly Caused by Faulty Phone Charger

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey Province): A fire that burned down a disused factory on the morning of the 2th February 2021 at the National Road 5, Poi Pet city, Banteay Meanchey province was likely started by a charging telephone.
The fire above caused damage including 40 sewing machines, about 200 reels of cloth and many other items lying around the factory.
According to Pov Tu, a male resident, the fire started because of a faulty telephone charger.

When fire broke out, authorities and officers involved in Poi Pet City, came down to help the community by calling many firefighters as well as Casino, private companies and firefighters of Police Department. Apart from this, the general chairman of the provincial police commission also ordered the fire extinguisher of Mongkol Borey district, Ouch district and Malai district to help put out the blaze. The fire above completely erupted at about 5 am today, so the total damage has not yet been assessed.
