Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A drunk driver, who had a series of accidents, crashed into vehicles killing a young woman, and injuring a man, Borey Peng Hout, on the street 271, Sangkat Steung Meanchey, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh. The woman who was killed was identified as Lim Sreheng, a 28-year-old seller, driving a Scoopy motorbike.

The source said the drunk driver was driving an Alphard car, plate PP2BJ-2004, on street 217, from south to north at high speed when he crashed into a Mazda car. The drunk driver then tried to drive the car away from the accident scene and suddenly hit a Camry car. After that, he drove further and crashed into two motorbikes, killing a young woman and injured a man.

The family of the young woman are devastated; they said that she was planning to get married in ten days time, and in fact she was going to meet her fiance when the accident occurred.

The police checked the accident scene and took the car and the motorbikes to keep at the police station, waiting to sort the problem out later. The woman's body was taken to be prepared for the funeral. RIP.

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On January 28, 2021, 42-year-old Koam Sithon was remanded in custody in Prey Sar Prison in connection with a drunken driving case that left a young woman dead. The victim is Lim Srey Heng, female, 28 years old, living in Street 18 in Borey Piphop Thmey, Chamkar Dong, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh.

Defendant Koam Sithon was charged by Prosecutor Say Nora with "reckless driving, negligence or negligence" resulting in the death of another person under Article 85 of the Law on Road Traffic and the provisions of Article 44, Article 124 of Code of Criminal Procedure. He faces up to five years in prison for the offense.
