The governor of Daun Penh district in Phnom Penh appears to be cleaning up the streets - after arresting and removing 13 streetwalkers in the same area, 13 tuktuk and motorbike taxi drivers were lined up and shamed for peeing in public. Where do the authorities think that all the homeless people do their bodily functions ?

Any reason for the recent clean-up ? It's certainly not for the crowds of foreign tourists who coming to Phnom Penh. Are we expecting a visit from someone special ?


Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): According to the report by Khan Daun Penh administration, on January 19, 2021, Mr. Dok Penhvuth, the governor, ordered the police patrolmen to make order in the area and to detain all motordub drivers and tuk-tuk drivers who urinate on the street and in the park, causing a dirty environment and a bad smell for visitors.

After getting educated by Khan Daun Penh officials, thirteen men were ordered to clean up where they had urinated. Khan Daun Penh administration has requested to all citizens, "please do not do like these men, but go and use a public toilet for urination to help the environment and people's health".

Very surprised to hear they only found 13 men pissing in public, probably only looked for 10 minutes or so

I can't even imagine what the public toilets are like however, assuming they do exist ?

Shameful. These people are dirtying the beautiful pristine streets of Phnom Penh.

Is it ok to take a piss on the huge piles of steaming stinking garbage that cover half the width of some streets by 8pm?

I think the piles of garbage on the streets are there to protect the street underneath them from getting potholes. lol

Yah! Dirty fucks! There's no rain to wash it away, when the sun heats it up it's stinks. Even more delicious, is when you see them pissing, you better hope the wind isn't blowing your way because there's a good chance you're drinking it, via vapor

In response to much commentary on this subject on social media, with many people criticizing the lack of public toilet facilities available, the governor of Phnom Penh has said that no country has public toilets every 100 meters, and that urinating in public parks or on the street is disgraceful and unacceptable.
The authorities say that there are plenty of perfectly good restrooms and toilet facilities available for people in Phnom Penh, and that they should make use of them.

Class warfare. More of the same.
They know how much of a threat we are.
How self-sufficient in work and independent in thought. They detest that.
